Hillsborough River regional locator map.: The Hillsborough River's headwaters are in the Green Swamp of south-central Florida. The River is both a scenic eco-system, and is the major source of drinking water for the metropolitan Tampa area.
Hillsborough River Basin: This is the Hillsborough River basin boundary as defined by the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
